PINK and GREEN look

Maybelline, HIP, and MAC's Shroom

Saturday, March 21, 2009

Okay...so it's been a while since I have been able to sit down and blog. I have been really busy through the week and I haven't really bought much. I purchased a couple of lipglosses: RIMMEL's Eastend Snob and I LOVE IT! and Wet N'Wild' "lipglass". Of course it's not lip glass but it has the same thick shiny consistency of MAC's lipglass. I really like it too. Both of these can be purchased at "Wally World" (or your nearest drug store)!

On another note, I cowashed my hair with my Pantene Beautiful Lengths this morning and it turned out GOOD! I recently got my hair colored brown with a few highlights in the front that I love. My stylist did a good job. She used foils. I am really enjoying them, but I know that I have to give my hair special attention because of the color. So, I've been trying to do good by it. Anywhooo... just a little bit of what I've been up too...I'm going to check out the Sugar Sweet line at MAC, it just looks and sounds so girlie so you know I am loving that! Oh and ULTA has buy one get one free on 3 lines of cosmetics right now...I think it's their brand (ULTA), Maybelline, and L'oreal or Revlon (I always get those confused!) and they have the $3.50 off a $10 purchase coupon on line...so check that out.

Talk to y'all lata!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BYE!

TLC for hair, Colossal vs. Lashblast

So, I have been thinking to do this comparison review for a moment and had not done it yet, but I think that a lot of people are "sleeping" on the Colossal Mascara from Maybelline. I have been a huge fan of Maybelline's Mascara for a while, but I have been using the Covergirl Lashblast too in recent months just because so many people were saying how they couldn't live without it, blah, blah, blah. My honest opinion is that Lashblast is okay, but just that, OK. It doesn't have a WOW factor or anything. It seems just like a regular mascara to me. If you are looking for a thickening formula, Colossal is the one. It yields thick, luscious lashes; I love black, voluminous lashes; I think that they are gorgeous. So, if that is what you are looking for try Colossal, it's the best. I've been using it for a long time and I am definitely LOVING IT!

Okay, so as some of you know I am making more of an effort to take better care of my hair so I bought a few new products recently. I'm not sure how well I like all of them yet; however, I will post them when I can judge them better. However, I have been pre-pooing for two weeks now and I really like the way my hair feels afterwards. Pre-pooing is preparing your hair for a wash by putting your favorite oils and a conditioner on your hair and letting it sit for a while (at least 45 min to overnight). I have also started co-washing in the middle of the week instead of shampooing just because I know that shampoo too many times during the week does more harm than good. This past week I used the VO5 Strawberry Milk Conditioner (I think that is the correct name). I also got a new satin scarf that I love. It has a soft side for your hair and a smooth side for the outside so that it doesn't slide off of your hair. It glides smoothly over the pillow and doesn't come off.

bioInfusion Olive Oil & EOTD

ALL UD: HONEY, PEACE, ZERO, SHAG

I recently purchased bioInfusion Olive Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion. It was about $7 at Walgreens. I was interested because of the great ingredients and another blogger was raving about it. Some of the ingredients include soybean oil, coconut oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, oat protein, carrot and sunflower extract, just to name a few. If you are looking for something light, that won't weigh your hair down, this product is great! All it takes is a dime size amount and you are good to go, not to mention all of the great ingredients listed above! I am definitely liking this product. It gets a 4.5 out of 5.
